Large "Chain fern" log (Araucarioid-type fossil wood) section that has been cut and highly polished. Log is 12" tall and 4" in diameter. Circumference is 13". Glass-like polish on one end shows rings and cell structure. Shoot scars are large, numerous, and very well defined. Specimen is freestanding on unpolished end. Wonderful display fossil!
