Large and spectacular crocodile skeleton, 43" long (measured along the vertebral column), on resin matrix measuring 39" x 22 1/2".  The skull (with teeth) is in excellent condition and measures 10" long.  Skeleton is virtually complete, with the exception of some outer limb bones.  Body scutes are well defined, with great detail and near-complete articulation.  Messel fossils are collected by the "resin-transfer" method, which makes them lightweight and ideal for a wall mount presentation.  Crocodiles are one of the largest vertebrates from this location and are extremely rare.
