Specimen weight: 1315 grams (3 pounds)

Slice displays beautiful yellow/green gem-quality peridot (olivine) crystals. Metallic areas display wonderful "Widmanstatten structure". This combination of gem crystals and iron is one of the rarest types of meteorite yet discovered. This particular discovery has the highest ratio of peridot to metal of all the pallasites.

As shown in photo, specimen is free-standing on base. Very showy, with no rust. Unlike some Campos, this particular specimen has "the look", meaning that it is "alien" in appearance….very angular, with lots of bumps, valleys, and ridges.

Slice has been etched on both sides to reveal the metallic crystalline "Widmanstatten structure" (as seen in photos). It has also been chemically sealed to prevent any oxidation.
